SATA Ports
Six Serial ATA (SATA) ports (I-SATA
0~5) are located on the motherboard
to provide serial link connections. Se-
rial Link connections provide faster
data transmission than those of the
traditional Parallel ATA. These SATA
ports are supported by the Intel
ICH10R Chip (South Bridge). See the
table on the right for pin defi nitions.

An IDE connector is located close to
SATA Ports 0~3 on the motherboard.
This 44-pin connector provides sup-
port for 2.5" hard drive disks. See the
