Removing or Attaching the Baseplate to the Tape Drive
8. Attach the baseplate to the new tape drive. Use the four countersunk screws
shipped with the drive (
9. Install the new drive. Insert it into the system until the metal latch on the left side
engages.

Installing a New Tape Drive
1. Take the system to Standby mode.

2. Open the right front door of the system.
3. Attach a wrist strap. Place a grounded ESD mat close to the system.

4. Pull the tape drive filler panel forward to remove it.
5. Remove the two countersunk screws that secure the tape drive filler panel to the
baseplate (
