After removing the shell, stand the HDV vertically, unscrew the ring nuts (11), remove
the plate (12) (see fig. 2), the drop-trap ring (12a), unscrew and extract the ring nuts
(11a) and extract the first battery (14) pulling it upwards off the rods (13) (see fig. 2 and
3). At the end detach the red connector (15) of the battery 14 from the battery switch
(61).
Remove the two distancers (60) from the rods (13).
Remove the switch (60) disconnecting it from the lower battery (14a).
Extract the second battery (14a).
NOTE: do not extract the second battery (14a) before the switch is
removed. Do not extract the second battery using the switch as a handle
or hook for the battery since it could detach, letting the battery fall. Use
the specific handle on the battery.

ECHARGING THE BATTERY
To recharge the battery, extract the battery (14) from the
ADV (see fig. 4), put it in a safe place away from people
and flammable objects. Unscrew the charger connector
cap (24) and connect the charge connector (26) to the
battery charger (see battery charger instructions). Next
connect the battery charger power cord to the mains.
When charged, disconnect the battery charge and close
the connector (26) cap (24) and insert the battery in the
ADV.

NSERTING THE BATTERY AND CONNECTING THE SWITCH
With the ADV in vertical position (see fig. 3), repeat the battery extraction procedure in
reverse order, being careful to assemble all parts in the correct order, meaning:
1. Connect the red connector (15) on the lower battery (14a) to the red engine
connector.
2. Insert the lower battery (14a) on the rod (13) until it fully rests on the bushings.
Make sure the wire does not interfere with the battery support. If so, remove the
battery and rearrange it.
3. Insert the two white distancers (60) (fig.
4. Insert the switch (61) matching up the relevant red and grey connectors. As soon
as it is inserted, the two green LEDs on the cover start to blink. From this
moment on you have about one minute to connect the second battery, otherwise
the system will not recognize it and bypass it.
5. Wait for the two leds to stay on without inserting the second battery in the ADV.
6. Insert the upper battery (14) until it fully rests on the distancers (60).
7. Screw-in the bushings (11a).
8. Insert the drop trap ring (12a) (fig. 2)
