Hi-Pot/Di-Electric Breakdown Test
1. Energize the Hi-Pot tester and adjust the test voltage
to 1.8 kV.
2. Plug the test fi xture into the back of the unit.
3. Connect the alligator clip to the ground post of the
unit...
4. Touch the positive (red) probe to the Hi-Pot test
fi xture and press test on the Hi-Pot tester for 1
second.
Note Always check the hi-pot tester for proper
functionality prior to use by hitting the test
butoon and touching the leads.

tester should emit the “fail” alarm.
Caution Do not test the unit for more than 1
second or internal damage can occur.
