Troubleshooting
In this section several tools and options for troubleshooting are described. Please consider these
options before contacting support, this may save you time.
22.1
Self test
To make the Lisa Compact perform a self-test, send the self-test command '
e'
(without the qoutes) via

'. Otherwise, please save the logging

Test network connection
When installing Lisa devices in a specific network, it is important that the device is properly configured
to work in this network. The minimum requirements for this is that the IP configurations are correct. But,
correct IP configurations are not always sufficient for the device to function properly. E.g. when a
firewall is used, then it is required that traffic from and to the Lisa is allowed on specific ports etc.

Performing a connection test
To make the Lisa Compact perform a connection test, send the command '
ctest'

The connection test verifies six connections:
Short description
Config server
Connection to the configuration update server. Not applicable for
fixed configuration mode.
SW (=software) update server
Connection to the software update server
Schedule server
Connection to the schedule update server
PL (=playlist) update server
Connection to the playlist update server
Monitoring server
Connection to the remote monitoring server
Proxy server
Connection to the proxy server
