4.4.2 Routes
The following functions are used for the Route management. The chartplotter handles
Routes from 1-20, which are permanently stored in the memory as they are created.
Only one Route can be selected for work at any one time.
4.4.2.1 Selecting Route
'MENU' + "ROUTE" + 'ENTER' + "SELECT" + 'ENTER'
Use the
ShuttlePoint knob to insert the Route number to work and press 'ENTER'. If
the number is more than 20, the chartplotter emits three beeps.
4.4.2.2 Deleting Route
'MENU' + "ROUTE" + 'ENTER' + "DELETE" + 'ENTER'
A window is opened: select "
YES
" and press 'ENTER' to confirm (select "
NO
" and
press 'ENTER' otherwise). The Route remains on the screen shaded until the screen
is redrawn. Note that the active Route (the Route with the Target) cannot be deleted.
A warning message is shown when the user tries to delete it. To delete Route see also
Section 4.4.1.8.
4.4.2.3 Reversing Route
'MENU' + "ROUTE" + 'ENTER' + "REVERSE" + 'ENTER'
Reverse current Route ends.
4.4.2.4 Report Route
'MENU' + "ROUTE" + 'ENTER' + "REPORT" + 'ENTER'
Shows information about Route, Waypoint position and name, Distance and Bearing
between Waypoint, Fuel consumption. Allows changing the current Route and
locating the Route on the map. See Section 4.4.1.8.
4.4.2.5 Sending Route to a PC program
'MENU' + "ROUTE" + 'ENTER' + "SEND" + 'ENTER'
Transmits current Route information (NMEA sentences WPL, RTE) on the NMEA
Output port (selectable by the user in the Input/Output menu, Send/Rec Rte & Marks
Port item see Section 8).
4.4.2.6 Receiving Route from a PC program
'MENU' + "ROUTE" + 'ENTER' + "RECEIVE" + 'ENTER'
Saves Route information (NMEA sentences WPT, RTE) received from the NMEA
Input port (selectable by the user in the Input/Output menu, Send/Rec Rte & Marks
Port item see Section 8). The received Route is saved on the current Route. If the
current Route contains data the chartplotter shows a warning window and asks the
user if he wants to overwrite the existing Route.
