With one hand supporting the weight of the transporter from underneath, use your
other hand to carefully rotate the base of the transporter slightly outward, then lift
the transporter upward to disengage it from the mounting bracket (Figure 9-17).
Note:
If you are working from the front of the library, it is easiest to use
your left hand to support the transporter.
Caution:
Do not lift the transporter using the picker. It is not designed to
support the weight of the transporter.
7.
Lift the transporter out of the library.
Caution:
Be careful not to bump the vertical axis (VAX column), VAX
motor, or the components on the PC card mounted in the
bottom front of the chassis.
8.
Set the transporter aside for return to Spectra Logic.
