QIPs are identified in the library’s BlueScale interface as
DBAx/Y-QIPx
, where:
DBAx
is number of the drive bay assembly (DBA) containing the QIP.
Y
is the QIP type (F for Fibre Channel or E for Gigabit Ethernet)
QIPx
is number of the controller bay in the DBA. Each DBA contains one controller
bay, so x is always 1.
Figure 6-3 shows the relationship between the DBA number and the QIP locations
used in the identifier.
Examples
If an F-QIP is installed in the controller bay of DBA1, its identifier is DBA1/F-QIP1.
If an E-QIP is installed in the controller bay of DBA2, its identifier is DBA2/E-QIP1.
