Drying Cycle Steps
Drying Cycle Steps allow you to modify the temperature, time, vacuum setpoint and
ramp or hold settings. When modifying Drying Cycle Steps, enter a zero value in the
time field to skip directly to Post Heat (Secondary Drying).
Note:
These settings must be within the unit’s ability. Consult your unit specifications or contact
SP Service for more information.
The menu parameters are defined as follows:
Parameter
Description
Temp (°C)
The product or shelf will hold or ramp to this temperature. Use the
±
key and
the numeric keypad to change the temperature setting in one-degree
increments, up to ± 99 °C.
Time (min.)
The unit will hold or ramp to the product or shelf temperature for the specified
period. Use the numeric keypad to change the time in five-minute increments,
up to 1255 minutes per step.
Ramp or Hold
Hold will adjust the product or shelf temperature as rapidly as possible to the
setpoint and hold the temperature for the remaining period. Ramp will ramp
the product or shelf temperature from its current value to the setpoint at a rate
determined by the Wizard 2.0 controller.
Vacuum Setpoint
(mTorr)
The unit will adjust the vacuum level to meet the Vacuum Setpoint. Use the
±
key and the numeric keypad to change the vacuum setpoint in 10-degree
increments, from 2540 to 0.
Note:
Under heavy vapor loads, the actual pressure may remain higher than
the Vacuum Setpoint. If this is the case, it may be necessary to lower the shelf
temperature setpoint.
