Maintenance Settings
The Wizard 2.0 controller is configurable for a variety of systems and applications.
Most system parameters are preset prior to factory testing for normal use of your
equipment.
Before using your freeze dryer, review the default user settings to verify suitability for
your application. If desired, modify the controller settings to meet your specific needs.
The
Maintenance
button provides access to all manual, setup and test function
parameters. The Maintenance menu consists of nine submenus and screens,
including four with configurable control settings.
Clock Adjust
The Clock Adjust menu allows you to adjust date and time settings.

Configuration Settings
The Configuration Settings menu allows you to configure certain settings that will
determine how your freeze dryer system operates.

Shelf Driven/Product

1 (Shelf-Driven Mode)
Enter 1 to set the freeze dryer to Shelf-Driven Mode. When in
Automatic Mode, the freeze dryer will advance to the next phase
depending on the shelf temperature.
Enter 0 to set the freeze dryer to Product-Driven Mode. When in
Automatic Mode, the freeze dryer will advance to the next phase
depending on the product temperature.

Enter 1 to set the vacuum pressure units to millitorr. Enter 2 to set the
vacuum pressure units to microbar. Enter 3 to set the vacuum
pressure units to Pascal.
Freeze Assist
1
Enter 1 to activate the Freeze Assist. When in Automatic Mode,
Freeze Assist controls the shelf/product temperature while the
condenser and vacuum pump are establishing initial conditions.
Backfill
0
Enter 1 to enable the Backfill Pressure option. Enter 0 to disable the
Backfill Option.
Backfill Pressure
500 Torr
Sets the target backfill pressure. The system administers pressurized
air or gas for stoppering or other purposes.
Printer Interval
2 minutes
Sets the time between printouts of freeze-dry cycle data. Use with an
optional line printer. Printable data includes cycle phase, product
probe temperature(s), product probe temperature average, shelf
temperature, condenser temperature, and vacuum pressure.
