Setting the
SRM
®
stud chuck
Step 1:
Switch the stud welding device off when the gun is connected to
the stud welding device.
Step 2:
Select the stud chuck according to the required stud diameter.
Step 3:
Insert the stud into the stud chuck.
Step 4:
Set the stop screw so that the stud, when
it is sitting on the screw, is about 5 mm
above the stud chuck.
If the stud protrusion is more than 10 mm,
the required transverse magnetic field is
deflected sideways which can lead to
uncontrolled SRM
®
welding.
Step 5:
Fix the end screw with the locknut.
The adjustment is complete.
