Operating Instructions
To switch from the handset to the
base phone
1 When using one handset:
Press
intercom
during the phone
conversation.
When using more than one handset:
Press
intercom
and
0
during a phone
conversation, and then press the handset
number.
The phone is put on hold and a melody is heard.
2 When the base phone rings, pick up the
receiver.
You cannot use on-hook dialing.
3 Tell the person on the base phone that
you are switching phones.
4 Place the handset on the charger or press
off
.
If nobody answers
Press
intercom
or
talk
to resume the conversation on
the handset.
Tips
• You can switch phones after putting the call on hold by
pressing
hold/erase
.
• If you return the handset to the charger after pressing
intercom
, a melody is heard from the base phone speaker.
The call can be answered either on the base phone or on a
handset.
• If an intercom call is terminated on the base phone after
step 3, you can resume the conversation on the handset.
To switch from one handset to another

For example: To switch from handset 1 to

3 When the handset rings, pick up the
handset from the charger or press

when it is not on the charger.
4 Return the handset to the charger.

Talking between the
phones
(intercom)
Note
Conversation between handsets is not possible.
To talk from the base phone to the
handset (when using one handset)
1 Base phone: Pick up the receiver and
press
intercom/name ask

The handset starts to ring.
2 Handset: Pick up the handset from the
charger or press
talk
.
You can start talking between the handset and
the base phone.
3 When you finish talking, return the
receiver to the base phone, or return the
handset to the charger or press
off
.
