Attaching the Lens
Attach one of the following types of optional lenses to
the projector according to your purpose.
• VPDL-Z1014 1.3-times zoom lens
• VPDL-Z1019 1.2-times zoom lens
• VPDL-Z1023 1.6-times zoom lens
• VPDL-Z1037 1.8-times zoom lens
To attach the lens, follow the steps below.
Note
Handle the lens carefully as it is very heavy.

Turn the two screws on the top cover either
clockwise or counterclockwise by 90 degrees with
a screwdriver, then remove the top cover.

Loosen the two screws on the cover of the lens
attachment part, then remove the cover.

Remove the lens ring (upper and lower parts) and
the lens hole cover.

Remove the two screws.

Pull the lower part of the upper lens ring to
unhook and remove it.

Lift the lower lens ring and remove it together
with the lens hole cover.

Remove the lens hole cover from the lower lens
ring.

Mount the lens onto the projector.
1 Loosen the lens fixing screw.
2 Holding the lens with both hands, place it on
the lens attachment part.
3 Pass the connector from the motor box of the
lens through the hole on the shield cloth of the
lens attachment part.

Insert the lens straight into the lens attachment
part while holding the lens front end with one
hand, and the rear end with another hand.
5
Tighten the lens fixing screw to secure the lens.

Make sure that the motor
box is at the lower left.

Pass the connector
through the hole on the
shield cloth.

Insert

Plug the connector from the lens into the connector
from the projector.

Attaching the Lens
For the VPDL-Z1014 lens only
Before attaching the lens to the projector, attach
the lens shield (supplied with the lens) to the lens.
You cannot attach the lens shield after the lens has
been attached to the projector.

Position the tabs to
the right and left.

Replace the lens ring performing step
3
in the
reverse order, and tighten the screws.
Notes
• When attaching the lens, be careful not to overtighten
the lens fixing screw.
• The lens scratches easily, so when handling it always
place it gently on a stable and level surface in a
horizontal position.
• Avoid touching the lens surface.
