Input/Output Signal Operations

This section describes DME selection and the input and output
signals.

DME selection

The HDS-7100 can use either an internal DME (HKDS-7061 and
HKDS-7071) or an external DME (an HDME-7000 connected to
the EXT DME 1 connector).

Selecting the DME

In the SETUP menu (see Volume 1), select F6 (PERIPH) and F2
(DME) in that order, and press F6 (DME) to select one of the
following.
INT: Use internal DME (HKDS-7061 and HKDS-7071)
EXT: Use external DME (HDME-7000)

Note

It is not possible to use the internal DME and an external DME
simultaneously.
