During the measurement, the same mains voltage is present at the measuring
socket which powers the tested appliance.
During the measurement of a faulty appliance, RCD switch may be triggered off.
PE leakage current is measured directly in PE conductor, which gives an accurate
result even if the appliance consumes a current of 10 A or 16 A. Note that if the cur-
rent does not leak to PE, but to other earthed elements (e.g. water pipe)
– it cannot
be measured in this measurement function. In that case it is advised that the differ-
ential leakage current I
