If handset is used with water on it, Speaker/Earpiece volume may
be decreased or sound quality may be deteriorated. If water seeps
into keypad or hinge area, remove water as follows:
Draining Water from Handset

Wipe water off handset with clean dry cloth.
Do not place handset directly on beach.
• Sand gets into holes of Microphone, Earpiece or Speaker, and
volume may be decreased.
• Sound may get distorted if droplets and sand are in handset.
• Water leakage may occur if sand enters External Port Cap or
Battery Cover.

Hold handset firmly. Shake handset about
20 times until no droplets come out. Repeat
on all sides.

Pat handset against a clean dry cloth to
remove remaining water from Microphone,
Earpiece, Speaker, keypad, hinge, etc.

Use handset after removing remaining water thoroughly.
Some water may remain on handset even after above steps are
followed. Keep handset away from anything that should not
get wet.
Accessories and other optional items are not waterproof. Check
following points when/after charging battery.
Never charge battery when handset is wet. Doing so may cause
an electric shock or malfunction/fire due to short circuit. Wipe
water off handset with clean dry cloth before charging battery.
Use Desktop Holder (not included) to charge handset. Place
handset on Desktop Holder and charging begins.
Close External Port Cap tightly after charging battery.
