Installation
UNPACKING THE HD5050
The unit is packed in a single flight case. The
contents of the flight case are as follows:
HD5050 unit
1 Power cable
1 Extender card
2 Spare a.c. power fuses
1 Operating Manual
Unpack the flight case carefully and check for any
shortages or shipping damage. Immediately report
any shortages or damage to Snell and Wilcox
Limited.
POWER CONNECTIONS
Power Supply
Mains power is supplied to the unit via a filtered
IEC connector.
The mains power fuse rating is 4 A (T) and the
rated current for the unit is 2.6 A at 100 V and
1.2 A at 240 V.
The ON/OFF switch is located on the rear panel as
part of the mains inlet assembly
Note that the fan ventilation holes on the rear panel
must not be obscured.
Supply Voltage
The unit automatically senses the supply voltage in
the ranges 85
V to 264
V and sets itself up
accordingly. No voltage adjustment procedure is
required.
Power Connections
The unit is supplied with a power cable that must
be wired into a power plug as follows:-
Brown
Line
Blue
Neutral
Green/Yellow
Earth (ground)
CAUTION THIS UNIT MUST NOT BE
OPERATED WITHOUT
AN EARTH CONNECTION.
