Another two modes are available if
USER
is selected:
Hotstart:
when the torch trigger is pressed welding
begins (after the pre-gas time) at the current value set
with the ‘
Start cur
’ parameter and for the time set with
the ‘
T-Hotstart
’ parameter (see explanations below)
after which the current goes to the value set with ‘E5’.
When the torch trigger is released the process stops.
6-Step:
when the torch trigger is pressed welding
begins at the current value set with the ‘
Start cur
’
parameter (see explanations below). When the trigger
is released the current goes to the value set with ‘E5’.
By pressing the torch trigger briefly you go to the
welding current set with the ‘
Current 2
’ parameter (see
explanations below). Another pulse takes the current
back to the value set with ‘E5’ and so on cyclically. To
finish the process you have to press the torch trigger:
the current goes to the value set with the ‘
Crater cur
’
parameter (see explanations below) and when the
trigger is released the process stops.
To select one of the two
USER
modes:
•
Press selector ‘E5’ briefly; the blue led ‘
3
’ turns on
and the setup menu is displayed.
•
Turn selector ‘E4’ to select the ‘User Mode’ page.
•
Turn selector ‘E5’ to select the mode chosen and
confirm by pressing ‘E5’.
•
Turn selector ‘E5’ to select ‘Exit’ and confirm by
pressing ‘E5’.
Within the same ‘SET’, it is possible to enter/adjust also
the following parameters (the figures here below are an
example of display boxes for setting the parameters):
•
Pre-gas:
pre-gas timing (seconds)
•
Post-gas:
post-gas timing (seconds)
•
Up slope:
current slope-up timing (seconds)
•
Down Slope:
current slope-down timing (seconds)
•
Pulsed:
current pulsing ON or OFF
•
Base curr.:
pulsed base current (Amps)
•
Frequency:
pulse frequency (Herz)
•
Duty cycle:
balance between welding current timing
and base current timing (e.g., a 50% duty cycle
means that welding current timing equals the base
current timing, a 30% duty cycle means that the
welding current timing is lower than the base current
timing)
•
Start cur:
initial current value / first level (for 3-level
or USER_6-T mode only)
•
Crater cur:
final current value / third level (for 3-level
or USER_6-T mode only)
•
Hotstart:
initial current value as a percentage of the
current value set with ‘E5’ (for the USER_Hotstart
mode only)
•
T-Hotstart:
duration of Hotstart (for the
USER_Hotstart mode only)
•
Current 2:
percentage of the current value set with
‘E5’ (for the USER_6-T mode only)
