Unit Junction
Box
The unit junction box is mounted on the front of the evaporator box and
contains cabinet and unit electrical componentry. See table further below for
electrical component information

Item
Description
EMI filter/surge protector Protects the chiller from voltage spikes and eliminates
possible electromagnetic interference. The EMI filter/
surge protector regulates the supplied voltage before
feeding it into the refrigeration unit.
Cabinet electrics fuses
Fuses for the cabinet lighting and cabinet element/s.
Element relay
Element switch. Power supply for unit defrost elements
run through the element relay rather than passing high
current through the electronic controller.
High pressure switch
relay
Automatically switches the high pressure switch on and
off. Refer to “High Pressure Switch” on page 65 for more
information.
Compressor contactor
Switches the compressor on and off.
Cabinet supply socket
4 pole electrical supply socket for cabinet heater
elements and interior lights.
Lit sign assembly supply
socket
3 pole electrical supply for optional sign light.
