Riding in Cold Weather
Carburetor Equipped Models
All vehicles have been calibrated for
- 20°C (- 4°F). They can be operated at
warmer winter temperatures without
risk of problems.
CAUTION: For colder temperatures
than - 20°C (- 4°F), carburetor(s)
must be recalibrated to avoid en-
gine damage. Refer to an autho-
rized SKI-DOO dealer.

Emergency Starting
The engine can be started with the
emergency starter rope supplied with
the tool kit.
Remove belt guard.
WARNING
Do not wind starting rope around
your hand. Hold rope by the han-
dle only. Do not start the snowmo-
bile by the drive pulley unless it is
a true emergency situation. Have
the snowmobile repaired as soon
as possible.

Attach one end of emergency rope to
rewind handle.
NOTE:
The spark plug socket can be
used as an emergency handle.

Attach the other end of emergency
rope to the starter clip supplied in the
tool kit.
