Meaning of the indicators written on the rear panel of the product:

: Indicates wireless equipment using the 2.4 GHz frequency band.
DS/OF
: Indicates that DS-SS and OFDM are being used as the modulation
scheme.

: Indicates that the estimated interference distance is "40 m maximum".
: Indicates that all bands are used and the band for mobile identification
devices can be avoided.
Notes When Using 5 GHz Bands
Usage of the 5.2/5.3GHz band (W52/W53) outdoors is prohibited in Europe under the Radio Law.
For outdoor usage, use the W56 channel only, and do not use the W52/W53 channel.
2-5-2. Radio Security
Wireless LAN uses radio waves instead of LAN cables to establish communications between devices.
There is the advantage in connecting devices to a LAN freely, but the radio waves can reach
everywhere in a certain range through obstacles, such as walls. If no security setting is made for the
wireless LAN, the following problems may occur.
- Interception of communications by a third party
- Unauthorized intrusion into the network
- Leakage of information such as personal information, ID, and card information
- Spoofing and falsification of communication data
- System or data corruption
Wireless LAN cards and access points are originally designed with a security mechanism to deal with
these problems. When wireless products are used after the security settings are configured, these
problems barely occur. You should fully understand the risk of using ST-700 without setting the
security. It is recommended that you set the security at your own discretion and responsibility before
using ST-700.
