The Data View
6.3.1
Structure and organisation
The
Data View is the located in the right part of the project window. It shows the
properties of the node selected in the
Tree View. You access information about a
selected node through a series of tabs. Two tabs present information in the form of
a matrix or grid called the
Edit Grid. The Edit Grid is the Data View user interface
control, and allows you to modify property values.

Node representation
When you select a node in the
Tree View, the Data View displays information
about that node. This information includes property values for that node, whether or
not it has child nodes, links to other nodes, event treatment steps, and so on.

Tabs in the Data View
In the upper part of the
Data View there are some tabs, which identify the type of
information related to the node currently selected in the
Tree View. (See the
following figure where the top level Project node is selected.)
Note: The tabs you see will vary depending on the node selected in the tree.
