Configuring user privileges
Using the User Manager commands, you can add, modify and remove users.
Launching the User Manager
From the Windows Start menu, select the following:
Start > Programs > DMS8000 > Tools > User Manager.exe
The User Manager window appears.
When the User Manager starts up, it presents the list of users. The menu and a
toolbar contain the function commands.
Adding a new user
1. To add a new user to the current list, do one of the following:
- Click the New icon

- Select Edit > New in the menu.

2. At this point, you need to enter the Window account name and domain. We
recommend the following procedure:
a. Click Search (1) to open the Windows user selection form.
b. In the new form that appears, click Advanced (2).
c. A further Window opens: click Find Now (3) to show the user list.
d. In the list, locate and select the user you want to enable in Composer (4).
e. Finally, click OK (5) twice to close the windows.
