●
Only use SNI-approved cartridges.
●
Keep cartridges away from magnetic objects.
●
Keep cartridges away from direct sunlight and sources of heat (the optimum
storage temperature is b5°C and +45°C).
●
Do not use cleaning agents, solvents or thinners on cartridges.
●
Avoid rapid temperature fluctuations.
Store cartridges in the operating environment for four hours before use.
Cartridges which have been subjected to high humidity or high temperatures
must be kept in the operating environment for at least three or four days. Poorly
acclimatized cartridges are difficult to read and can damage the read/write
head.
●
Avoid high levels of dust (e.g. close to printers), and clean the drives regularly.
●
Never leave 4 mm and 8 mm cartridges in the drive for extended periods.
●
Always store cartridges in their box.
●
Never use old tapes or cleaning materials.
●
Please note that there are special cleaning cartridges for each drive (see also
chapter “Accessories” on page 175).
