Security Setup Wizard
You can provide comprehensive protection for your Gigaset SE365 WLAN and the con-
nected PCs against unauthorised access within your local network and from outside
from the Internet. The
Security Setup Wizard
offers the following functions:

Changing the system password (see page 36)
u
Changing the SSID of your wireless network (only for Repeater and Access point
operating modes, see page 37)
u
Setting the encryption of your wireless network (see page 38)
u
Restricting the access certain PCs have to your wireless network (only for Repeater
and Access point operating modes, see page 42)
When you configure the Gigaset SE365 WLAN for the first time, you should follow the
Security Setup Wizard user interface step by step. You will find further options in the
Advanced Settings
Now click
Next >
to start the security settings.
When using WPS please note the following:
Your Gigaset SE365 WLAN is equipped with
(Wi-Fi Protected Setup). With it you
can set the security of your wireless network easily at the push of a button (1 click
only) (see page 18).
You can inspect the defined settings via the
Security Setup Wizard
page 38) or in the Advanced Settings (see page 54).
