Configurable functions
4.2.5
Two-hand control
With the Two-hand control function of the unit, two-handed input devices can be evaluated
in accordance with Standard EN 574, Type III/C. Simultaneous switching of two dual-
channel complementary inputs (NC/NO) is monitored.
The output of the two-handed element is activated as soon as both input pairs are active,
i.e. both switches are actuated on the two-handed input device. The output is deactivated
as soon as one of the two input pairs becomes inactive.
The time between the actuation of the first and the second switch (activation of the first
and second input pair) may not be longer than 0.5 sec. If both input pairs do not switch
simultaneously, the
0
fault message appears in the 7-segment display.
In case of a Stuck-at-High error of the two-hand inputs directly after switching on, the
7-segment display also shows the message
0
.
You can configure connections for two-hand control. The output of the two-handed input
element can e.g. be wired to the release module, the protective module or the logic
module of partial application A or B.
The electrical connection of the two-hand control is described in Chapter 6 "Electrical
installation“ on Page 50.
4.2.6
Emergency stop
Stop category 0 or 1 according to EN 418 can be implemented via the emergency stop
function of the device. You can connect single or dual channel emergency stop input
devices.
You can configure up to two connections for single channel or dual channel emergency
stop input devices. You can configure an emergency stop for each safety application. The
operation of an emergency stop input device has the following effect:
$
If
no
shutdown delay is configured for the OSSDs, the safety controller switches off the
configured OSSDs in accordance with the stop category.
$
If
a
shutdown delay is configured for output Out2 (see Chapter 4.2.10 "Shutdown delay
of output Out2" on Page 32), the OSSD connected to it switches off in accordance with
stop category 1.
$
The 7-segment display shows
Z
.
$
The emergency stop function deactivates the OSSDs even if the bypass function is
activated.
