Mount the system plug.

Close the M12 plug connector on the safety laser scanner using a male cable con‐
nector or a protective cap.

Tightening torque for plug connector: 0.4 Nm … 0.6 Nm.

Tightening torque for protective caps: 0.6 Nm … 0.7 Nm.

When mounting the connecting cable, ensure the seals are intact and seated cor‐
rectly.

Connection overview
The USB connection may only be used temporarily and only for configuration and diag‐
nostics. The permanent connections are contacted via M12 plug connectors.

Pin assignment
You will find the pin assignment for the individual plug connectors in the following.
6.3.1
Connecting cable with M12 plug connector
Voltage is supplied and local inputs and outputs are connected via the connecting
cable with an 8-pin, A-coded M12 male connector.
The connecting cable must be protected against UV radiation, e.g., by using a weather
hood or by mounting the device in a protected area of the vehicle or machine.
