7.1.1
Cleaning the optical cover
The NAV210 2D LiDAR sensor is largely maintenance-free. The optical cover of the 2D LiDAR
sensor should however be cleaned regularly and in the event of contamination.
▸
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
▸
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
Important
Static charges cause dust particles to be attracted to the optical cover. You can mitigate
this effect by using anti-static plastic cleaner (SICK part no. 5600006) and a SICK lens
cloth (part no. 4003353) (see section “Consumables” on page 56).
How to clean the optical cover:
▸
Use a clean, soft brush to remove dust from the optical cover.
▸
Then wipe the inspection window of the optical cover with a clean, damp cloth.
7.2
Replacing a NAV210
As all external cable connections terminate in the system plug or the plug connectors, there
is no need to repeat the electrical installation when the device is replaced. The replacement
device can simply be connected.
If the NAV210 is replaced, proceed as follows:
1
Switch off the power supply to the NAV210.
2
Remove the connection cable(s) from the NAV210.
3
Mount the replacement device (see chapter 4 “Mounting” on page 33).
4
Configure the replacement device (see chapter 6 “Commissioning and configuration” on
page 42).
NOTE:
Claims under the warranty rendered void!
The housing screws of the NAV210 are sealed. Claims under the warranty against
SICK AG will be rendered void if the seals are damaged or the device is opened.
The housing must only be opened by authorized SICK service personnel.
