Establishing communication with the NAV210
Important
To communicate via TCP/IP, the TCP/IP protocol on the PC must be active.
When connecting a PC/host, please adhere to the following order:

Switch on the PC.

Connect the PC to the NAV210 with a data cable.

Switch on the supply voltage to the NAV210.
The NAV210 performs a self-test and initializes itself.

Connecting data interfaces

Connect the PC to the NAV210 with an Ethernet cable

Connect the PC (serial interface) to the NAV210
6.3.2
Configuring the Ethernet connection
The factory setting for the Ethernet interface of the NAV210 is:
– IP address: 192.168.0.1
– Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
– TCP/IP port for SOPAS ET: 2111
Using the SOPAS tool, there are several different ways to find the NAV210. You can select
these in the search settings:
– Search by device family (recommended)
– Search by communication interface
When searching by communication interface, the scanner can be found with an automatic
IP address search or the IP address can be configured manually.
You can find additional information on operation via the help menu -> SOPAS handbook.
