In SOPASair, open the
Setup
window.
2.
Measure the distance between the viewing window of the device and the rack with
the positioning mark.
3.
Enter the measured working distance for the actual rack depth in the
Working
distance – Single deep [mm]
or
Working distance – Double deep [mm]
field in the
Working
distance
area.
4.
Measure the circle diameter of the positioning mark.
5.
Enter the measured circle diameter as an initial value in the
Circle diameter [mm]
field in the
Circle Setup
area.
6.
Enable the
Continuous measurement
switch.
✓
The device captures images continuously and evaluates them.
7.
In SOPASair, adjust the circle diameter in steps until the
Evaluation circle diameter
(aim: 100%)
parameter in the
Results
area shows the value 100% ± 5%. The circle
diameter set in SOPASair can deviate from the measured circle diameter.

Fine adjustment and calibration
Important notes
NOTE
The following steps are only relevant for single-deep and double-deep rack storage
applications.
NOTE
If you enable the
Double deep
switch, all parameters (including working distance and
circle diameter) only apply to the double-deep rack storage. The values previously set
for the single-deep rack storage remain valid in the background and remain unchanged
despite the newly-made settings.
In Double deep mode, the field of view in the X and Y direction is limited to 25%. If
required, a larger field of view can be implemented on request.
Procedure
1.
Reparameterize the device for double-deep rack storage. To do so, enable the
Double deep
switch in the
Rack Fine Positioning
area.

The device is in Double deep mode.
2.
The automated storage and retrieval system is positioned so that only the position‐
ing mark of the double deep rack is visible in the image.
3.
Repeat the fine adjustment for the double deep rack.
4.
Repeat the calibration for the double deep rack.
5.
After completing the fine adjustment and calibration for the double-deep rack
storage, test the configured settings again for the single-deep rack storage. Verify
that both distance positions work reliably.
