6 Commissioning
6.1 Software
6.1.1 SICK AppManager
Function of the software
• Reading out and changing the IP address.
• Saving the currently valid parameter set on the computer (backing up) or to a
microSD memory card in the device (cloning).
• Installing firmware updates.
Installing SICK AppManager
The current version of SICK AppManager can be downloaded from www.sick.com/
SICK_AppManager . To install SICK AppManager, open the installation file (*.exe) and
follow the instructions on the screen.
6.1.2 SOPASair
Function of the software
The device can be set up and parameterized using the SOPASair software.
Starting SOPASair
SOPASair can be started via a web browser (recommendation: Google Chrome). No
software installation is required. For information on operation,
see "Parameterization
using SOPASair", page 20 .
