USING THE LASER MULTIFUNCTION CONTROL PANEL

To program a Rapid Key or Speed Dial number for E-mail or fax, select the Auto Dial
tab in the Control Panel.

In the Dial Type field, select whether you want to program a Rapid Key (one-
touch dial key) or Speed Dial number (a two-digit abbreviated dialing
number).
(For more information on Rapid Key and Speed Dial numbers, see Chapter 2
of the Operation Manual.)

In the Key Mode field, select Normal Dial for a fax number, E-mail for an E-
mail destination, or Chain Dial for an area or access code.
(Note: Programming an area code or access code as a Chain Dial number
allows you to automatically dial that area/access code by pressing a Rapid
Key or entering a Speed Dial number. You can then dial the rest of the fax or
voice number by any of the dialing methods explained in Chapter 2 of the
Operation Manual.)

Enter the name of the destination in the Name field.
