5.20.2
Latching/non
-
latching alarms
You can configure each of the two measurement alarms to be either latching or not latching:
Alarm setting Meaning
Latching
Once the alarm condi�on has been ac�vated, the alarm condi�on rem
ains
ac�vated (even if subsequent sample measurements would not trigger the
alarm) un�l the alarm is manually unlatched.
Not latching
Once the alarm condi�on has been ac�vated, the alarm condi�on remains
ac�vated only un�l a subsequent sample measurement which would not trigger
the
alarm is made. The alarm condi�on is then deac�vated.
When necessary, use the following procedure to unlatch any ‘latched’ measurement alarm(s):
1.
On the Measurement screen,
press the
so� key; the Alarm op�on screen (Figure
62
) will then be displayed.
2. With
the "Unlatch" op�on highlighted, press the so� key. All latched alarms will
then be unlatched and the Measurement screen will be displayed again.

The
hysteresis level associated with a measurement alarm determines when an alarm condi�on (once
ac�vated) is deac�vated, and this depends on the alarm mode, as foll
