dos and don'Ts
do:
•
Read and understand all supplied documentation before
operating the simulator.
Fully understand the risks of using
an Oculus Rift and D-BOX motion system before use.
•
Ensure all cables are securely plugged in before starting
the application.
If cables are not fully plugged in, headset,
controller, audio, and or motion may not work.
•
Ensure the power adapter is completely plugged into the
laptop, and the laptop is charging.
If the laptop battery
is drained, the laptop will reduce its processing power
automatically, and will cause the simulator to malfunction.
don’T:
•
Do not unplug any cables while either the simulation
or computer is running.
This will cause the MEWP VR
Simulator to malfunction.
•
Do not use the simulation on battery power; always
ensure the laptop is plugged in and charging.
•
Do not use the laptop mouse or trackpad when the
simulation is active
.
It will affect the user’s view.
•
Do not close the laptop lid while the simulation
is running.
•
Do not press buttons on the laptop keyboard while
the simulation is running.
(Unless you are administering
specific hotkeys for the current simulation session.)
•
DO NOT CHANGE ANY SETTINGS ON THE LAPTOP.
•
Do not download any software unless instructed by
Serious Labs Inc.
•
Do not expose the Oculus Headset lenses to direct
sunlight.
