Laptop Setup

Confirm the MEWP VR simulator is connected to a power
source. Confirm that all cables are plugged in correctly. Check
that the simulator power switch, located above the power
cable, is turned on.

Turn on the laptop.

Note:
After making any adjustments to the USB
cable configuration (such as unplugging, or plugging
a USB device), ensure that “Digital Audio Interface -
D-BOX KineAudio” is NOT set to the default audio device.
When the Oculus Rift is plugged in to the laptop, the
default audio device should be set to “Headphones -
Rift S Audio”.
Note:
Windows setup subject to change.
Click on the
speaker icon
, located at the bottom right of the
screen. Next, click on the small arrow. This will show a list of
all available sound deices that are connected to the laptop.

Ensure “
Headphones - Rift S Audio
” is set as the default
device (It is important that your speakers are set to the
default device, and
NOT
“Digital Audio Interface - D-box
KineAudio”
).

Close the
“Sound”
menu.
