If external viewing and audio is required:
1. Connect the external device (TV/Projector/Monitor)
to the laptop. You will need a Mini Display Port to
HDMI adapter.
2. Double-click on the Oculus Home program on your
Windows desktop.
3. Select “Devices” from the left side menu.
4. Click on the Oculus Rift Headset and touch.
5. Under “Audio” there is a category which allows you to
enable “(Hear VR Audio from Computer)”.
6. Close Oculus Home. Restarting the software will apply
the new settings.
7. Right-click on the speaker icon in the bottom right-hand
corner of your screen, and select “Playback Devices”.
8. While still in the “Playback Devices” menu, right-click on
your external device (TV/Projector/Monitor), and select
“Set as Default Device”. If you are connecting an
external speaker system through the laptop’s 3.5mm
audio port, right-click on your speakers, and select
“Set as Default Device”.
9. Close the “Playback Devices” menu.
Note:
The software does not support 4K displays.
