USER MANUAL – Z-GPRS2 / Z-LOGGER

Then the time is not reliable, the log continues to operate with a false date/time (starting from
01/01/1970) until the next synchronisation.
The time cannot be considered reliable when:
-Z-GPRS2 / Z-Logger was turned on for the first time without being set
-Z-GPRS2 / Z-Logger was turned off.
in these cases, the time remains unreliable until the next successful internet connection.

Embedded I/O log
Z-GPRS2 and Z-Logger are equipped with a wide range of analog and digital inputs and 2 relay
outputs.
Variable acquisition time in the datalogger is independent of the analog input, counter and
totalizer sampling time.
Specifically:
All counter/totalizer inputs are sampled approximately every 5 ms, filtered at 15 ms.
All analog inputs are always sampled every 50 ms.
Entering an analog inputs provides the following variables:
CURRENT VALUE (at acquisition)
AVERAGE VALUE IN ACQUISITION TIME (with sampling every 50 ms)
MAXIMUM VALUE IN ACQUISITION TIME (with sampling every 50 ms)
MINIMUM VALUE IN ACQUISITION TIME (with sampling every 50 ms)
Thus, fast voltage/current surges can be logged when a low filtering time is set.
12.5.
Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP-IP loggers
Z-GPRS2 and Z-Logger support Modbus RTU Master protocol on each of the two RS485 serial
ports. up to a maximum of 100 tag Modbus RTU can be logged from devices that support Modbus
RTU Slave protocol (for example, the entire series of Modbus RTU Seneca Z-PC modules. For
further information, visit www.seneca.it).
The logger supports Modbus TCP-IP Client protocol via the Ethernet port. Up to a maximum of
100 tag Modbus TCP-IP from devices that support Modbus TCP-IP Server protocol can be logged
