Entering/changing/deleting position data manually
In the
Longitude
and
Latitude
fields, you can enter the position data of the sensor
directly, if it is known. You can change or delete the data in the fields.
Press
OK
to confirm the position data and use it in the software. The window closes. In
the map in the display area, the position of the sensor is updated automatically.
Note: If pipe sections are changed in the map due to this action, the length of the pipe
sections need to be re-entered. The pipe lengths do not automatically adapt to the new
position of the sensor.

Determining the GPS position with the laptop
12.3.1
Requirements
You can determine and save the GPS position data with the laptop and the
CorreluxView-3 software. To do so, you need an external GPS receiver, which is
connected to the laptop.
The external GPS receiver is available as an optional accessory from SebaKMT.
The GPS receiver is simply connected to the laptop using a USB port. The device turns
on automatically and immediately starts to search for available satellite signals.
The GPS receiver has a status LED:
•
LED flashes regularly
K Device is searching for GPS signals;
positioning not yet possible
•
LED lights steadily
K GPS signals are received;
positioning is possible
•
LED does not go on
K Device is not connected
Before using the device for the first time, drivers must be installed on the laptop. They
can be found in the CD included with the GPS receiver. Start the installation file on the
CD and follow the instructions on the screen.
On the CD, you will also find a test program for installation on the computer. The
program can be used to test the function of the GPS receiver.
More information can be found in the accompanying materials of the GPS receiver or on
the website of the manufacturer. All necessary installation files are available there as
well for download.
