senger’s head and chest in a serious
frontal collision.
In serious lateral collisions the side Air
Bags reduce the risk of injury to the body
parts exposed to the danger for the front
seat occupants.
The Air Bag system is not a replacement
for the seat belt, but it is rather one part
of the passive safety concept of the vehi-
cle. Please note that the best possible
protection to be offered by the Air Bag
system can only be effective when the
seat belts are fastened.
