PRE-RIDE INSPECTION
WARNING
Check throttle lever operation be-
fore starting the engine. If any fric-
tion is felt in the throttle lever, refer
to an authorized Sea-Doo dealer.
Shifter System
Check reverse gate operation for free-
dom of movement.
With shift lever in forward position, the
gate should be in upward position; of-
fering a resistance to go downward.
With the shift lever in neutral position,
the gate should be in the middle posi-
tion.
With the shift lever in the reverse po-
sition, the gate should be in the down-
ward position.
WARNING
Verify the reverse gate operation
before starting the engine. Ensure
no one is near the gate when the
shift lever position is changed.
Variable Trim System (VTS)
RXP-X Model
Install D.E.S.S. key then alternately
press the VTS up and down button to
check nozzle movement. The VTS po-
sition indicator movement can also be
seen in the information center.
Storage Compartment
Covers and Seat
Ensure all required safety and survival
equipment and any additional cargo is
properly stored in the storage bins pro-
vided.
Ensure the self-contained storage
bin cover, front cover, glove box, ac-
cess panels, and seat are closed and
latched.
WARNING
Ensure the seat, access panels,
and all storage compartment cov-
ers are securely latched.
Wakeboard Rack
WAKE Model
WARNING
Ensure wakeboard rack is properly
secured to watercraft body and
that the wakeboard is properly po-
sitioned and secured to the rack
prior to using watercraft. Ensure
wakeboard retaining straps are in
good condition.
Ski/Wakeboard Post
WAKE Model
Make sure ski/wakeboard post is fully
extended and locked before use.
Completely retract and lock when not
used.
WARNING
Use
caution
with
skier/wake-
boarder in tow as tow rope may
backlash to watercraft when re-
leased. Never perform a sharp
turn when towing a skier, wake-
boarder or any toy.
NOTICE
The ski/wakeboard post is
designed for towing a skier or wake-
boarder with a maximum gross
weight of 114 kg (250 lb).
D.E.S.S. Post and Engine
Start/Stop Button
Position shift lever in neutral. Start
engine and stop it using the engine
start/stop switch and by removing the
D.E.S.S. key individually.
