-IM setup and data upload is via one of the following:

•

IM telemetry

without opening the housing - Baud rate between

plus

-IM and IMM or SIM is always 1200 baud; not recommended for

upload of large amounts of data.

USB connector

on electronics assembly (requires opening housing) -

Provides fast upload of large data sets.

Calibration coefficients stored in EEPROM allow the 39

plus

-IM to transmit

data in engineering units.

The 39

plus

-IM’s optional fairing / net fender provides protection from

snagging by nets and fishing lines.

Future upgrades and enhancements to the SBE 39

plus

-IM firmware can be

easily installed in the field through a computer serial port and the internal
USB connector inside the 39

plus

-IM, without the need to return the

39

plus

-IM to Sea-Bird.

Note: The firmware for the integrated IMM cannot be upgraded by the
