1.8. Connecting cables to terminal
Take the following steps to connect the cables
to the different terminals.
Viper 4 (Figure 10):
1.
Connect the main interface cable.
2.
Connect the power supply cable.
3.
Mount the terminal with the RAM-
connection.
4.
Connect the GPS-antenna cable(s) and
the radio/UMTS-antenna cable.
5.
Mount the GPS-antenna on the UNC-
bolt.
6.
Unscrew the GPS-antenna cable from
the dummy connector and screw the
GPS-antenna cable onto the GPS-
antenna.
GeoStar 200/250 (Figure 11):
1.
Mount the terminal with the RAM-
connection.
2.
Connect (if present) the CAN-cable.
3.
Connect the data communication cable
(if present). Press firmly and screw the
connections tight.
4.
Connect the external power supply
cable.
5.
Connect the GPS-antenna cable(s) and
the radio/UMTS-antenna cable.
6.
Connect the external analogue terrain
compensation module cable
7.
Mount the GPS-antenna on the UNC-
bolt.
8.
Unscrew the GPS antenna cable from
the dummy connector and screw onto
the GPS antenna.
Please note!
Ensure that all connectors are plugged in
straight and tightened firmly.
Caution!
Make sure that the RAM mount is firmly
secured and sufficiently tight.
