Step 17

Start up lift

Start up the lift.

Procedure

1

Before starting up the lift, check the following items:
a. Ensure the rope is tensioned properly. If it is too 

loose, it may short against the rail tube.

b. All call stations must be wired per the Electrical 

Schematics shipped with the lift.

c. All safety, and normal and final limit circuits must be 

wired.

d. The wires to the carriage must be connected 

properly and the carriage emergency stop button 
must be released.

e. All support posts (if installed) must be secure and 

the fasteners must be snug. 

Note that the 

fasteners will be tightened fully once the landing 
positions and stair clearances are checked.

WARNING

Do not ride on the lift until all fasteners are tightened fully.

Switch on the building breaker and the drive unit main 
power switch. Look for the two fuses F1 and F2 in the 
control cabinet to be active.

Unfold the platform and plug in the pendant control.

4

Run the lift away from the lower landing for a short 
distance using the pendant control.

Step 18

Adjust platform

Adjust the platform.

Procedure

1

To adjust the platform correctly, the electrical 
installation must be completed first (limit switches, 
overspeed governor, call stations, carriage connections, 
etc.).

Open the front side of the carriage.

First, adjust the horizontal alignment of the platform.

WARNING

When the parts in the next step are removed, 

the arms are no longer supported and will fall 

down. Be careful!

Disassemble the swivel links between the platform and 
the carriage. Be careful of the arms!

Use a level to check the horizontal alignment of the 
platform.

Loosen the platform adjusting nuts and screws and 
adjust for level as required. Tighten the screws and nuts 
when the platform is level. Check that both adjusting 
screws are supporting the platform.
