OMEGA IPL Installation Guide

f. Be sure to check the tension of the rope around the 

drive wheel at the top of the stairway.

g. When you achieve the right tension, clamp the rope 

in the clamping system. Tighten the metal clamp 
around the bottom of the white plastic parts, 
remove the tensioning tool, and secure the rope 
with a rope clamp as shown below. DO NOT cut off 
the rest of the support rope.

Install the plastic tubing over the rest of the support 
rope and turn it into a circle as shown below. Secure 
with cable ties as required. Ensure it is fastened securely 
so it won’t interfere when the unit is running on the rail.

Connect the carriage power wires to the rope and 
sliding contact connections. Connect the black wire to 
the rope clamp and the red wire to the sliding contact 
between the rope levers in the tube as shown below. 
The red wire assembly is for the tube (ground).
