OMEGA IPL Installation Guide

Step 11

Install control cams (if required)

Install the control cams (if required).

Procedure

NOTE

The control cams are normally pre-mounted. Follow the

steps below if they are not already mounted.

1

Mount the control cams on the profiles between the
upper and centre rail tubes in the area of the platform
stop positions. Mount the cams according to the
description on the plan drawings. In some cases, it may
be necessary to release both arms at the lower stop
position. In this situation, use two control cams (as
shown in the photo below).

WARNING

Never mount two control cams at the upper stop position;
this could cause the lower arm to open and the passenger

could fall off the platform!

2

Adjust the control cams according to the description on
the plan drawings. The levers for releasing the arms
(shown below) should be in the middle of the control
cam when the lift arrives at the stop position.

Arm release levers

NOTE

The upper lever is responsible for releasing the left arm (as

viewed from the front of the carriage); the lower lever is

responsible for the right arm. Note that this is regardless

of whether you have a left- or right-hand lift.

3

Check that the lift operates properly at each landing.
