Step 20
Check the installation
Check the installation before using the lift.
Procedure
1
Refer to the Electrical Schematics shipped with the lift
and verify all electrical connections.

Ensure that the electrical equipment and wiring comply
with the applicable codes.

Verify that all microswitches are positioned correctly.
4
Verify that all mechanical components are installed per
the instructions in this guide and that all hardware is
tightened.
5
Verify that all rail and post hardware is present and
firmly tightened.
6
Verify that all other hardware is present and tightened.
Step 21
Test operation
Test the operation of the stairlift.
Procedure
1
Unfold the platform and run the lift up and down the
stairs. Check all travel clearances.
2
Verify that the red warning lamp on the platform
control panel is illuminated when the unit is running.
3
Verify that all pendant and call station controls are
functioning properly.
4
Verify that the platform folds and unfolds properly.
5
Verify that the loading ramps open and close at the
landing stop positions.
6
Verify that the lift stops when it contacts an obstacle
along the travel route.
7
Check the operation of the limit switches. The upper
and lower limit switches should stop the lift when it
reaches the top or bottom of the stairway.
8
Reinstall any covers that were removed during
installation.
