8 TROUBLESHOOTING

Magnetic chuck not switching

 

■

The magnetic chuck is not connected to the control unit. Check the connection.

 

■

The magnetic chuck is defective. Send the magnetic chuck to SAV GmbH for repair. 

 

■

Control unit not connected to the power supply or defective. Check the control unit.

Workpiece not adhering to the magnetic chuck

 

■

Holding force of the workpiece too low, e.g. due to high-alloy workpieces. Observe the information in section 
3.1 “Holding forces”.

Please note the detailed checklists for troubleshooting in the operating instructions for the SAV polarity reversal 
control units.
