WORKING OF THE MODE SWITCH
How the light guard is used depends on the position of the mode switch (pos. 4,
§ 2.3.1.and the programmed operation on the Touch screen. See the E-Control
manual for extended explanation.
The selector safety switch has 6 positions:
Position 0: UIT - OFF – AUS
Control disconnected
In this position the control is disconnected.
The machine cannot be started. By locking the switch in this position the
operator can prevent unauthorized persons to use the machine.
Position 1:

Light guard + foot control, blanking
Programmable foot control mode.
In this position can be chosen for one of the 3 following procedures:
In this position the light guard is during the whole stroke of the upper
beam active as safeguard.
In this position all the movements (back gauge and upper beam) start
when the foot pedal is pressed.
If the foot pedal is pressed, the upper beam will move downwards with
high speed (approach speed).
At the mute point will be switched over to bending speed.
The light guard may not be interrupted during the whole downwards-
movement of the upper beam.
Because the light guard is active as safeguard, the maximum closing speed
of the upper beam is allowed to be higher than 10 mm/s.
In this position the light guard is not active, in this position all the
movements (back gauge and upper beam) start when the foot pedal is
pressed.
The light guard may be interrupted during the whole movement of the
upper beam.
