GENERAL
One of the distinguishing features of the SafanDarley press brakes is that they
require little maintenance.
However, the little maintenance that has to be done must be carried out
thoroughly and with care.
In view of the safety regulations applying to this machine,
please, first read chapter 4 "SAFETY" of this manual before
starting maintenance work or lubrication.
The directions for maintenance which follow specify how the
various procedures should be executed.
Please, first read the section about maintenance and
lubricating before starting.
If you are in doubt about any procedures, please, contact your
agent or, if necessary SafanDarley’s service department.
When readjusting TOOL ALIGNMENT and BACK GAUGE, the readjustment of the
upper beam guides is of great importance. First check and - if necessary -
readjust the guides prior to aligning the tools and adjusting the back gauge.
SWITCH OFF THE MAIN SWITCH DURING ALL
MAINTENANCE WORK UNLESS EXPLICITLY SPECIFIED
OTHERWISE.
Keep this manual with all the scheme’s, diagrams, etc. with this machine as long
as it is in use and keep this manual with all the scheme’s, diagrams, etc.
available for servicing and maintenance personnel.
