Intermediate beam
The intermediate beam has been mounted directly under the upper beam.
In the intermediate beam a so-called curving key may have been mounted.
The key is used to compensate the sagging of upper and lower beam.
3.
Clamping plates
The clamping plates are used to clamp the top tool to the upper beam (or
intermediate beam).
4.
Top tool
The top tool is mounted to the upper beam (or to the intermediate beam).
5.
Lower tool
The lower tool is mounted onto the lower beam.
Various fixtures can be mounted on to the lower beam. They are explained
at point 6)
6.
Press brake table / lower tool adaptation
The press brake table is that part of the press brake the lower tool (die) is
mounted on.
On the lower beam various types of adaptation are available:
standard table
standard table with die nesting place slot
standard table with T-slot
single V-tool table
flattening tool combination
lower tool change equipment
Various accessories can be mounted on the standard table, such as:
angled guide ---> for bending narrow strips of sheet at right angles
support arms ---> for better supporting the sheet
front stop ---> for bending the sheet to a preset front stop size
7.
Lower beam
The bottom beam has been mounted to the machine frame in a fixed
position.
8.
Safety light guard.
The light guard is mounted behind the side protective covers.
The safety light guard protects the operator and other exposed persons
against the danger of being jammed between upper and lower tools of the
press brake if the machine is working at high speed (> 10 mm/sec). The
light guard therefore is placed on minimum distance from the tools.
At the moment that the light guard is interrupted the stopping time of the
upper beam makes sure that body parts not will be jammed between the
tools. If the light guard is interrupted during the approach speed, the upper
beam will stop immediately and return to TDP.
If the light guard is interrupted during bending speed, the operator should
